As you may be aware, Canada Post is currently in the midst of labour negotiations. In the event that the dispute is not settled, job action could occur that will have an impact on Canada Post parcels across the country.
The first day that work disruption can legally occur is July 2nd, 2016. Should the strike move forward, this means that effective July 2nd no new parcels will be accepted by Canada Post. Additionally, any item that is in transit on that date will be stopped where it is, and held until such time as the job action ends.
As such, the last date that Canna Farms will be shipping parcels with Canada Post is Friday, June 24th, 2016. This is in an effort to prevent medication from being shipped, but then stopped indefinitely before reaching the recipient. If job action does not occur by July 2nd, then shipping with Canada Post will resume as normal.
For any registered client who currently ships primarily with Canada Post, your orders will need to be shipped with Purolator for the time being. If your shipping address only states a PO Box, we ask that you please complete a Registration Amendment as soon as possible, to include a street address.
Please note, these measures are in place strictly in the event that job disruption occurs. We are in continued contact with Canada Post, and will provide updates to our clients if any definitive action is taken. If you would like to follow the situation on your end, please head to the Canada Post website. Through this link you may also request email notifications for all updates related to the job action.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns at all, please do not hesitate to contact one of our client service experts. They will be happy to help you through this process.
Cheers, Your Canna Farms Team
